University premed (btw, i hate that term) here

I really appreciate all the work you put into this blog. To not only write eloquently and interestingly, but also with a clear passion for informing/helping others in a similar vein of interest is something I am impressed and commend you on.

You're writing speaks to me for several reasons. Firstly, because of the reasons why i found this website (I'm studying for the MCAT). Secondly, I found that flow chart last year and it tickled me and my friends. But finally, you, the way you write, and the topics you write about are inherently interesting. I enjoy reading this blog thoroughly and also appreciate your links.

Please, don't burnout. Realise how helpful what you are doing is and maintain this site for as long as possible (unless of course it's relaly getting in the way... I'm not that slefish :). Hope you have a great August.

I just finished my first year of university and I hope to stay in Canada for medical school. More posts about what it's like to be in medical school would be really interesting to read.

On a side note, I'm surprised to see that you receive so few replies even when you ask for feedback...

Starting university in the fall, but I just came recently came across your blog and the articles I have read so far have been great! Once I'm finished with exams I plan to go through all the useful posts here. I have personally enjoyed articles for bettering my future application and that one chart on here somewhere about the road to medical school was funny haha. Keep doing what you're doing! :)

university student, interested in becoming a doctor. I would love to see some articles about study tips, or specific tricks or strategies you or your friends use to study or prepare for exams.

Keep up the great work!

Well, I obviously won't leak any insider information. That would be a breach of confidentiality. But certainly I'll give my own personal comments on how you can be a better applicant.

You are one smart dude...!

I'd like to hear some interesting medical school stories. Maybe an article on a day / week in your life as a medical student.

Also, maybe on some of your plans... how are you exploring various specialties? Has you mind changed about them since you started? I know it's early, but have you already started planning for CARMs, etc. etc?

And I'm not sure how much you follow current events, but if some medicine/health care related stuff comes out that really hits a nerve, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts and stuff.

I'm a high school student wanting to become a doctor and i loved your "what are my chances" chart lol. For me, I really liked the stuff about admissions information because it really helped me decide which university i wanted to go to. I also love your stories about medical schools because they seem really interesting and gave me an idea of what med school is going to be like. The one article I found most useful above all else though, was having a meaningful volunteering experience. It made me realize that volunteering isn't just another EC but something I should want to do in order to help others! You've made a real difference keep up the good work man!
